MUMBAI: Indian actress Dia Mirza has vehemently denied a report that the ex-beauty queen and actress would tie the knot with Pakistan cricketer Shoaib Akhtar. The actress said that the news, carried by Pakistani news channels, is utter rubbish and baseless. In a chat with an Indian TV channel, she said, “The news of my wedding with Shoaib Akhtar is absolutely rubbish. It’s a figment of imagination.” Dia requested the media to make it known that she had nothing to do with Akhtar and she doesn’t even know him. When asked about her marriage plans, the actress said, “I would like to get married and everybody will know it. As of now, I am not getting married to anyone.”
LAHORE: Cricketer Mohammed Asif and Actress Veen Malik had tied the knot in London last year, citing the sources ARY News reported on Tuesday. According to sources, a Bengali Nikahkhwan had performed Nikah of the couple in East London last year in May and their common friend Zahid Saif was one of the witnesses of Nikah. It is recalled that Zahid Saif had mediated to settle financial dispute betwen them recently. Asif and Veena had agreed to keep their nikah secret. According to reports, the nikah of the couple was not registered in Pakistan and Veena wanted registration of nikah here but Asif has been against it. Meanwhile, Zahid Saif has also confirmed that they were living as a couple. Mohammed Asif in a statement has denied the report, while Veena Malik has refused to confirm or reject the report.
